PBA Finals
Manila, Philippines—Final battle today, Wednesday night, February 24, 2010 at the Araneta Coliseum. Game 1 starts at 5:00 PM between San Miguel Beermen and Baranggay Ginebra team, Game 2 of Alaska Aces versus Purefoods Giants at 7:30 PM.
The coaches heading the teams, Tim Cone and also, Coach Ryan Gregorio seems all set for the most-awaited final game. With Millie Miller, Marc Pingris, and Kerby Raymundo cracking jokes on the side, and James Yap with Reynel Hugnatan speaking with each other using their same dialect—they all look as if they are teammates rather than opposing rivals.
Moreover, Good banters are expected as Aces and Giants start the KFC-PBA Philippine Cup Finals (Best-of-Seven) series later in the evening, at the chosen venue—Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Q.C.
Pingris, on the other hand, cracks a joke on a press conference last Monday in Gateway Suites, Quzon City: “Kung ice tubig nga nagpapatayan sa barangay court, ngayon pa eh milyun-milyon ang bonus.”
When asked about his choice of the team who could possibly with the finals, Alaska coach, Tim Cone utters: “I’m not sure if you can pick a team to win right now,” “Both teams are just playing high level basketball,” he added.
Alaska Aces said that they would try their best to outrun their best, defensive rival team, the Giants.
According to coach Tim Cone, they admit that the Aces are going to have a problem with Giant’s length. Tim Cone acknowledges that the team’s (Giants) asset is that they are long and quick.
